homeless man: (after proceeding to rip off several more petals and put them in his mouth, chewing on petals for several moments, and finally stuffing the entire bouquet into his mouth and gnawing energetically) these flowers… these flowers. they smell good.
me: how do they taste?
homeless man: LIKE BEES. THEY TASTE LIKE BEES.
me: that sounds unpleasant.
homeless man: (while spitting petals into his lap sadly) it is.
